If you're in England right now I'll bet you are enjoying this next stage of lockdown easing! Hasn't it been lovely being able to socialise a bit more, outdoors of course, with family and friends? We've been aboslutely in our element here at Cook Outdoor! Especially with all this sunshine.
If you're reading this then I'm guessing you are already a big fan of outdoor cooking and entertaining. Am I right? One of the big advantages of plancha cooking over flame barbecueing is the fact that while entertaining you do not need to constantly be monitoring the fire, both while it heats up and while your food cooks.
We've been watching The American Barbecue Showdown on Netflix and it made us think about how much attention you have to pay to what your BBQ fire is doing at all times to ensure that you get the right result with your meat. Those pitmasters have got some skills, wow!
If however you want to focus more on the entertaining side of outdoor cooking, and we are in no way knocking traditional BBQ methods, then plancha cooking is for you! Even more so at the moment with having quite a small limit on how many people we can socialise with at any one time. Being free to chat and spend quality time with friends is so important. Especially after being unable to really see anyone socially for so long!
Our plancha grills heat up in 10 minutes by purely turning the knob and clicking the ignitor. Once hot there is a consistent level of heat which ensures the food cooks through evenly without too much skill required. Obviously you do need to pay attention to the food while it's cooking but nowhere near as instensively as when you're cooking on fire. Perfect for entertaining and having some fun outside!
