What is a plancha?

We discovered the pleasure of outdoor cooking ‘A La Plancha’ several years ago, and we haven’t looked back.

A La Plancha is changing the way we cook outdoors - no longer are we restricted to a smokey barbecue, if we don’t want to be.

The Plancha originates from Spain and is translated to refer to a flat heated surface. The griddle being heated to a high temperature to sear the food you’re cooking. With the temperature being situated within the centre of the plate, it allows for a variety of ingredients to be cooked at the same time at different temperatures. It’s quick and easy to clean, taking away the hassle and making cooking outdoors not only enjoyable but convenient too.
