It's been a busy time here at Cook Outdoor as we have been busy making plans for Spring and Summer. It's so close we can almost smell it! We're also so excited for the slice of freedom we get in England from today. Woop woop! To be able to meet outdoors to socialise as a group of 6, or from 2 households, is absolutely amazing and I'm sure you're joining us in our excitement to spend time with loved ones. Here's to many plancha parties and plenty of sunshine!!
Anyway, back to topic. Ha ha. Over the past few weeks our co-founder Tom has been busy enjoying his favourite hobby of making things out of wood. For a while he's been working on creating an outdoor kitchen for our own personal plancha (in our gorgeous signature orange colour) made from mostly reclaimed wood. He finished it last week and it made us think about the different ways of housing your own planchas.
The brilliantly practical black metal wheeled trolley, that we stock in our online shop, is the perfect first option for housing your plancha as it is custom designed to fit. It creates an easily moveable and sturdy unit for most garden sizes or location.
If, however, you'd like to house your plancha in something in more of a fixed location then having an outdoor kitchen built is a brilliant second option. Or if you're feeling adventurous please feel free to give it a go building your own! If you live in the Midlands we've been working with a local landscape garden designer who could help you out in designing and building your own outdoor kitchen.
The plancha unit itself is freestanding so could be used on many surfaces as long as you have space for the gas bottle etc. The world is pretty much your oyster! We wanted to share some of the options available to you and give you some inspiration for your own outdoor cooking area.
